Due to the inherent nature of massage therapy, current social distancing requirements have impacted our ability to offer massage therapy, thus, 4fourteen massage will not be taking clients at this time. And in following the suggestions from Governer Waltz's administration we do not expect to return to offering appointments until the end of summer.
Some of you may be surprised by the amount of time we are anticipating our closure. There are a few things that play into this decision. As the state rolls out its plan for opening, massage therapists have been placed at the end of the services allowed to open. While it would be nice to see massage services resume quickly, it is unlikely and we want to be realistic.
There is another issue that plays into the extended return date. On April 24th, 2020 Sherawn was diagnosed with breast cancer. The first stage of treatment will be chemotherapy. Chemotherapy severely impacts the immune system making the risk for viral infection extremely high. As much as it pains Sherawn to not be able to serve her clients it is best for her to take this time for focusing on her health and healing. If you would like to follow her journey through breast cancer you can get updates here through her CaringBridge site. If you would like to support her during this time, we are also using GoFundMe for financial gifts.
We look forward to the time when we can be up and running and will miss your presence dearly!
Thank you for your support!
Sherawn, Nate & Felicia
